October Remembrance
Pregnancy, Infant & Child Loss Awareness

Some lives lasted only moments. Others, days, years, or decades. No matter how long they were here, they mattered. Their names matter. Their stories matter. And they are never forgotten.

Why October Matters

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, a time recognized across the United States since 1988. It honors babies who were lost during pregnancy, at birth, or in infancy, and it also raises awareness about the unique grief experienced by their families.
At Never Forget Me, we also use this month to recognize all parents who have experienced the death of a child, regardless of age or cause of death. Whether a child was lost before birth, in infancy, childhood, adolescence, or adulthood, they are part of a family forever.

October 15 - Wave of Light

A Global Moment of Remembrance
On October 15, families around the world light a candle at 7:00 PM local time, creating a Wave of Light across time zones. Candles remain lit for at least one hour to honor and remember

Their life cannot be measured by the number of days they were here. It is measured by the love they left behind.

NEVER ALONE. NEVER FORGOTTEN.
